For this layout, I tried to focus on Paige Evans’ collections as much as possible. It is also created to participate in the biweekly challenge held by Happy Scrappy Place Facebook group. The rule is to “scraplift” Paige’s layout(s) to create a new one. I love the idea and have no problems at all to do so as I have already “scraplifted” many of her layouts.
I firstly pulled out of my stash all of Paige’s collections and then cut off the paper strip of each pattern paper. I layered these strips to form a cross sign and had some washi tapes on the central part of the layout, where I decided to have my title. I chose two photos of me visiting Nijojo Castle in Kyoto in 2014 and placed one photo on the upper side and the other on the downside of the cross. To create some layers, I further decorated the cross by gluing some hand-cut flowers and flower die cuts. And finally some brown Color Shine drops are never too much to finish the layout.
